September of 2020 will be the 30th anniversary of the founding of the GCGRS. In those 30 years we have hosted four very successful National Garden Railway Conventions, had 300 or so meetings, hosted numerous Fall Steam Ups and Garden Railway Tours, participated in numerous train shows and other exhibitions including a National Model Railroad Association’s Annual Convention, a LGB Big Trains Convention and a National Narrow Gauge Convention. We have taken train trips together and made life long friends while promoting our wonderful hobby.
We have been discussing numerous ways to celebrate including a dinner, model contest, swap meet, steam up, gravity race, picnic, memorabilia show, modular display.
